 Private Label Protein Powders

The Biggest Assortment Of Pre-Formulated Private Label Proteins...
Take 90 Seconds To See If You Agree

There are so many types of private label proteins out there. How do you choose which one is best for you? We have put together the best private label proteins for fat loss, muscle maintenance, sports performance, and for muscle building. Out of the many private label protein sources out there, private label whey protein is the ultimate. It comes from milk. During the process of turning milk into cheese, private label whey protein is separated out.

Are all Private Label Protein Powders the same?
We answer all your Protein questions!

There are times when whole food protein is not the best option for your muscle building needs. All the major private label protein powders (whey, casein, soy and egg) have unique benefits.

Private Label Whey Protein:
Out of the many private label protein sources out there, private label whey protein is the ultimate. It comes from milk. During the process of turning milk into cheese, whey protein is separated out. Whey protein has the highest value in providing branched-chain amino acids, which result in building and retaining muscle tissue.

Studies have been conducted that compare whey protein to other sources. They have found that whey protein contains the perfect combination of overall amino acid makeup... and in just the right concentrations for optimal performance in the body. Both hormonal and cellular responses seem to be greatly enhanced with supplementation of whey protein, too! Not to mention the benefits whey protein has on the body's immune system according to documented scientific research. Whey protein also plays a role as an antioxidant and helps support a health immune system.

If you compare the labels on various bottles of private label protein powders, you may notice that whey protein is listed in several different forms. The three most common types available as powders are whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate and whey protein hydrolysate. The differences are in the processing methods used to get it into the container. After liquid whey is separated from casein, the whey is filtered to remove the majority of the fat and carbohydrates (lactose). The more processing it undergoes, the higher the protein content in the powder.

Private Label Whey Protein Concentrate:
One of the first steps in the production of whey protein powder is ultrafiltration. This method uses varying degrees of pressure and a porous membrane to separate the fat and carbs from the protein. The result is WPC, the basic form of whey protein. Most WPC in protein powders today are 70-85% protein, with the remainder being carbs and fat. The simple filtering system yields a product that is typically less expensive than other whey proteins. Less processing also means that most of the beneficial whey peptide fractions remain in place. WPC is a good choice for those on a budget, or for people who want to reap all the health benefits of whey.

Private Label Whey Protein Isolate (WPI):
Because it is processed more, whey protein isolate is a purer form of whey protein than whey protein concentrate. It may undergo longer filtration times or additional manufacturing steps, such as cross-flow microfiltration. This low-temperature process further removes the fat and carbs from the whey protein through high-tech ceramic filters that still allow the majority of the beneficial whey peptide fractions to be retained. Another method for producing WPI is called Ion Exchange. This method can often produce the purest form of whey protein isolate, but the drawback is that some peptide fractions can be lost during the process. Regardless of the method, the extra steps produce a whey powder containing 90-98% protein. Due to its lower carb and fat content, WPI is a great whey protein to use when you're dieting. Compared to concentrate, an isolate is also a better choice post-workout because the body can digest and absorb it faster.

Private Label Whey Protein Hydrolysate (WPH):
Through a process called hydrolysis, whey's longer protein chains are broken down into smaller peptide fragments. Subsequently, WPH can be digested and absorbed even faster than WPI. Of course you'll pay more for products that contain WPH, as additional processing means greater expense.

Private Label Micellar Casein (Slow Digesting Protein):
Micellar casein, an extremely slow digesting and rich protein source. In fact, studies with this undenatured form of isolated casein protein (Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A 1997 Dec 23;94(26):14930-5) have demonstrated it to sustain steady amino acid elevations for an incredible 7 hours. It was shown to offer a strong anti-catabolic effect not noticed with fast digesting whey protein, and actually fostered a much more positive overall net protein balance in comparison.

Micellar casein is the natural, undenatured form of casein found in milk. It is separated from milk by means of ultrafiltration, without the use of chemicals, which increases the amount of bioactive milk peptides that support immune function as well as enhance muscle growth. A property of micellar casein is that it may have the ability to form a "gel" in the gut. This provides a steady release of amino acids into the blood stream, which makes it an excellent choice for a long lasting anti-catabolic protein.

Private Label Egg Protein:
Nutritionists commonly refer to eggs as the "Golden Standard" for protein quality. Eggs contain all of the eight essential amino acids (the type that your body cannot make from other substances) and very high levels of total amino acids - especially important sulfur-containing aminos. Eggs are also readily digested and absorbed. As a lactose-free protein source, eggs are often more tolerable to people who have trouble with dairy foods. For these and other reasons, eggs have been a staple of bodybuilder's diets since the beginning of the sport.

Private Label Soy Protein:
Soy protein is a complete protein that ranks right up there with the best in the Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS). Soy protein is generally very low in or free of fat, cholesterol, and lactose.

Soy protein is approved for those who are lactose intolerant, and can be used as a meat substitute. Much more than just an ingredient for a protein shake, Soy protein can be used for cooking instead of flour, producing high protein foods that are extremely low in fat, a bodybuilder's dream come true! Soy protein is derived exclusively from soybeans.
